I need some help with my windows xp sp2 computer. I used to be able to go to
certain websites with no problem. Now I receive an error message

Network Error (tcp_error)
A communication error occurred.

I have tried just about everything except reloading my software.
Can someone give me a fix for this or some kind of explaination why this has
happended all of the sudden.

I can go to other websites, just not all.

Thanks

Are all of the websites that show this error associated with each other? What is the TCP Error? There should be a number associated with the error message?

Since this does not happen on all websites, it could simply be a server error, (the computer that contains the website).

Ronnie,

Yes the websites are related in a sense. They are all government websites.
But not the same website. Also, I can get on some of the sites related to
them.
The actual message is

Network Error (tcp_error)

A communication error occurred.
The Web Server may be down, too busy, or experiencing other problems
preventing it from responding to requests. You may wish to try again at a
later time.

For assistance, contact your network support team. Reference device SATX-DLA2

I should mention that I can get on these sites with other computers.

Hi lisgram1,

Looking for references to the error messages that you are seeing, I have come up with nothing but blanks. This appears to be a very generic error message that has many, many causes associated with networks and connections to web servers.

I would suggest posting all of the details, that you have described here to the microsoft.public.windowsxp.network_web newsgroup. Hopefully, one of the experts there will be able to pin-point the problem for you.

Good Luck.
