Hi All!

Sometimes I get the following error when a computer is trying to map a
network drive (via logon script):
(translation from danish)

" Z: is not accessible. It cannot be established more connections to the
remote computer at the time, since there are already established all the
connections that the computer can handle"

The remote computer is windows 2000 server English, and workstations are
windows 2000 professional Danish.

Any suggestions?

Thanx in advance!

Regards,
Zoran

Hello Pegasus! Thanx for your quick answer!

Could it be so simple? I mean, does server close network connections for
clients that doesn't have CAL?

Is it computer, or user that needs CAL?

I ask since this configuration works like that for months now without such
problems, and it just begun to give the problem a week ago (and there were
no users added in the meantime?).

Zoran

It's your server that needs CALs. Launch the
Licence Manager and check out the situation.
Use Windows Help if necessary to get a handle
on the situation.

The server allows a certain number of concurrent
connections to be made. The number is determined
by the number of CALs you have purchased. Dormant
connections are closed after a while so that other
PCs can get in. If they grab a dormant connection
then that connection is lost for the original PC.

Sounds reasonable - many thanx for the explanation!

I'll check the CALs...

Regards,
Zoran
