I hafe a cable modem connected to a Netgear RT314
router. Four computers are connected, with Win2000,
WinME, and Win XP as operating systems. All worked fine
until I upgraded one of the Win ME computers to XP. That
computer now disconnects from the network / or my ISP
whenever it has been idle for an hour or so. I thought
it was my network card, Linsksys LNE100TX v4, which had
no WinXP dirves, so I replaced the network card to a
Linksys LNE100TX v5, with the WinXP drivers correctly
installed. No improvement.
The connections are restored if I reboot, but I would
prefer not to have to do that.
Any suggestions?
