Network device

I have a workgroup at home. I am not easy to see the presence of network
device on Network. Sometimes, I need to press F5 many times, type UNC path
or IP address to see their existance on My Network Places. Is there any
easier way to see the network devices?

Do you have network detection set as enabled in the network center?
