Network Development on CF 1.0

Hi, everyone. =)

I'm looking for examples, samples, etc. pertaining to networking between PPC
and desktops. The plan is to transfer commands and information over a network
between the device and PC to remote control a PC application.

Much of the server side and client side code I can figure out on my own, the
biggest thing I need help with is creating the connection, building and
transmitting the packets, and decoding the packets on the destination. I
don't have a book budget right now, so I'm trying to find as much information
as I can online.
