network connectivity

I'll try to be brief
I just started my current job and trying to get rid of some wierd settings on our network
Here is a problem
Our LAN is mix of Windows 2000 and 2003 workstations and servers
I don't know why, one of our servers (Win 2000) is running Gateway (and Client) Services for Netware.
And now, with such settings all our workstations and servers must enable NWLink, IPX/SPX NetBios protocols. Without it this particular server (which happen to be our main file and db server) rejects any connections
Even servers, that part of the same domain can not get to it. Even with lmhosts with associate entries
Other servers see this particular one, can ping it, but connection is rejected unless you enable Novell-related protocols
I can not turn off Gateway (and Client) Services for Netware - because I couldn't find the way to restore it - it is not an option
Any suggestions will be very appreciated

If you don't have a NetWare server, uninstall the GSNW. It should leave
the NWLink protocol.

A better option may be to uninstall both and make sure the NetBIOS over
TCP/IP is enabled.
