network connections

I AM THICK !!!!, but I have reinstalled XP home on another p.c, I CAN connect
to the internet (LAN Connection) using Safe Mode, but when I log on as
normal, I cannot connect, why is this and how do I fix it ?????? PLEASE HELP

Did you also install the network card drivers, or motherboard drivers?
This must be done, in particular if you did a "clean" install.

Look in Device Manager for missing hardware or exclamation marks.
