Hi Guys,

i have an Issue with one of my clients Servers, it running Windows 2000 SBS
and it's an IBM Eserver.

On the weekend 07/01/2005 Microsoft release a security update and it caused
an automatic restart.
Since then the computer gets stuck at preparing network connections?

I have looked accross the internet for this and someone mention something
about it could be the Active Directory? any way i have tried the following:

Safe Mode - gets to logging on and then no further
Safe Mode with Networking - Again frozen on Preparing Network Connections
Last Known Good - Nothing working there.
AD Services Restore mode - goes into preparing network connects then get
error on the LSASS.EXE then windows shuts down in 60 secs?

Tried booting from window boot CD but freezes on the press enter to boot
from cd?
changed CD drive no joy.

I really need so help with this i have tested the hardware and all seem fine.

Regards
Greg Remer

Since July and now trying to prepare it? Boy you have a patient client.
You should have backed out the patch. It sounds like you are at a point
where you will have to rebuild the machine.
