Hello,
several of our pc's have had a problem where as long as
the network connection is enabled or cable plugged in,
the system slows to a crawl, but if the cable is
unplugged, the system speeds up to regular levels. why
is this happening, or failing a why, how can I fix it??

Thanks

-Dusty

Slow performance of PCs when connected to nwtwork:
============================================
Check for any virus/worms on the network. Those systems might be
broadcasting junk packets due to it.

Hope this helps

The ethernet card can also matter. I would check if the usage (Task manager
CPU) goes to 100% when the cable is plugged in. In this case, the network
adapter driver might be incompatabile (typically happens with USB adapters).
You would have to update the driver then.

It seems to be a wrong network card driver. could you change the network
adapter and apply the new driver? if yes, I bilieve that is the first step
to archieve this problem.

thanks.
