Really just wanting some advice on problems encountered
connecting home & office computers. Details of systems
(both running Windows XP Pro)
are:- Home Pentium III, 598 mhz, 256 mb of ram
Office Pentium 4, 1.8 Ghz, 512 mb of ram

Problem is speed of connection from home to office. Can
connect OK but takes forever to bring up office screen.
Is it possible home computer is not powerful/fast enough?

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks

You did not mention how you are connected. Phone line?
DSL? Cable Modem? These will all have different results.
The problem is more likely the speed of your connection
and not the speed of your computer.

How are you making the connection? Different line types
will provide different speeds. Also, if your using a
router, what speed is your router? Some offer 100,
divided equally between all computers, while others will
use the same 100 for each computer.
Hope this helps
