Hi Group,

Strange thing - I had my PPC 2002 connected to our network
via an ethernet card. I was developing an SDA with VS.NET
2003 - no problems. I disconnected the PPC from the
network and now I can't debug a single SDA application. I
am using ActiveSync 3.5 - it deploys, launches - then
exits. No message, no nothing.

Has anyone experienced this? I have rebooted the PPC &
Development PC to no avail.

Chris, Peter,

Thanks for the suggestions - I downloaded ActiveSync 3.7
and it seems to be working fine. Chris, I was in debug
mode, it would launch the program and sit there for a
minute, then just exit. This happened with a new SDA with
one form, as well all existing applications. I thought
the network connection caused it, but it did not, as I re-
connected to the newtork and it still didn't work. That's
when I got 3.7 and installed it.

Oh well, back to work...

Thanks,

Scott

Scott,

just posted an intermittent problem but I'm not sure its related.

I get problems with activesync 3.5 once in a while just wont sync, and
nothing helps. reinstall of 3.5 itself fixes the problem. hope 3.7 is a
permanent fix for you. would much appreciate if you could let me know if
happens again on 3.7.

thanks!

Bruce,

Since installing 3.7 I have encountered the problem once.
A reboot of my development PC solved the problem. In the
past, a reboot did not solve the problem. I did notice
the amount of memory the process devenv eats, I noticed
the memory @ 180 MB when VS stopped working properly, so I
don't know if that has anything to do with it.
