Hi All,

Just installed SP2 on win xp pro. No problems during the install, but
after I rebooted the box, the network connection service won't start
(it returns "error 126: specified module could not be found".) - This
of course leads to the ICS service not starting either, firewall down,
and missing network connection folder, etc.

Any idea would be greatly appreciated. I'm very close to reformat! :(

TIA,

Steve.

Follup on this... After hours searching online I found a MS KB article
describing a potential solution... which did not work.

One of the steps involves registering netman.dll and this fails (module
could not be found). I have the netman.dll file in the right location
though.

I'm shocked that just installing the Service Pack could completely mess
up my windows install. It doesn't bother me that the network connection
are gone, but not being able to startup the windows firewall means that
I'm unable to configure the ports it blocks, and renders my machine
unusable.

Any help or pointer would be greatly appreciated.

TIA,

Steve.
