My PC is a modern one (built the start of this year) and has an onboard
Intel 82556DM-2 network card which has the latest driver installed, version
9.8.20. The network works as normal all of the time when the PC is being
used, but after the PC has been idling for a long period (it automatically
locks after 20 minutes), the network will appear to lose some level of
connectivity to the server,

Usually what happens is that my redirected Documents folder, which is
pointed to a folder on the server, will "disappear" (can't save to it) and
the other shares on the server will become inaccessible (e,g, Homes share
which is accessible to everyone). WHen that happens I have to restart my PC
to regain access.

I have checked for settings to do with turning the adapter off to save
power, all those settings are disabled but it still happens.
