B
Bob Kraus
I have configured a home network with a Linksys wireless
router-B. Internet access is fine from both, but can't
get the 2 XP Home PCs to talk to each other.
I think the problem is with the network configuration of
computer A. When I disable the firewall (because I'm
depending on the router for that), I don't get the option
in that dialog box to enable Internet connection from
other computers on the network. In computer B, a brand
new Dell, when disabling the firewall, the dialog box
lights up the option for enabling Internet sharing. In
viewing, the network connection Icons, indeed A
says "enabled", but B says "enabled, shared". Why don't
I get the option to enable Internet sharing on A? BTW -
I do have NetBIOS over TCP/IP enabled on both machines,
and have "my documents" set up for sharing on both.
This is driving me to drink. Any suggestions?
