When I install a secondary NIC in my PCI Slot to network my home computers I loose my internet connection on my primary NIC that is hooked to my cable modem????? When I look at the TCP/IP properies in the primary NIC nothing has changed, the only way to get it to connect again is to do a system restore but then I loose my second NIC settings.
Whats Up?

Is the 2nd card of the same brand as the first? eg 3COM. That can cause
problems
Plus, if they're both pci cards, make sure they're not sharing the same
interrupts. Sometimes your motherboard manual gives you info on irqs on pci
slots.

Does disabling the 2nd NIC correct the problem? Make sure that you do NOT
use a default gateway on the 2nd NIC.
