I have had to change the network card in my windows 2000
server and now the domain does not seem to function. The
new card has taken on the Connection 2 title under
Network Connections and when I set the IP address etc to
the same values as the old card I get a message stating
the old card is hidden and inactive.

It seems that the new network connection does not bind or
connect to the domain. How can I get this back working?

Open Device Manager and select View/Hidden devices. You should be able to
find the old card - right click on it and select uninstall. Reboot.

Next time - uninstall the card through Device Manager before removing it.

Ryan,

It looks to me like you should:
1) Uninstall the new card.
2) Uninstall the old card.
3) Install the new card.

And reboot between each step.

Chuck
