I have a XP Home box connected through a lan to a private
network accessing a citrix server. I also have a modem
that I want to use to access the internet.

I can only connect one or the other at a time. When I
connect to one and attempt the other it fails and vica
versa.

Thanks,

I don't see a question in this post, but I'll guess at it: "How do I connect
via the LAN to the Citrix server and to the Internet via modem at the same
time?"

The answer is, you don't. It's designed that way so as to lessen the
chances of you corrupting your LAN with malware from the Internet at large.
