We have 2 windows 2000 std. servers with about 15 Windows XP Pro
workstations. Both servers are setup as domain controllers. Eng-Server-01
is the operations manager, manu-server-01 is the other server. We've been
getting the following error on the manu-server-01

The browser service has failed to retrieve the backup list too many times on
transport \Device\NetBT_Tcpip_{4EBE4AFF-1E40-4D91-9BAB-EDB5852B6C99}. The
backup browser is stopping.

When these errors start the users aren't able to browser the list of
computers or printer shares on those computers. No event log errors show up
on the eng-server-01 for this. I checked the following registry keys on both
server.

IsDomainMaster false
MaintainServerList no
Eng-Server-01
HKLM\System\CurrentControlset\Services\Browsers\Parameters

MaintainServerList Yes
These errors will go away after the eng-server-01 is restarted, and will not
show back up for about a month or two. The eng-server-01 is at 41 days since
the last restart, and the errors started about a week ago.
