This is a tough one so let me explain. We are dealing with three
computers that I will name 1, 2 and 3. They all have external hard
drives on USB. One and three can communicate with each other just fine
and with their external hard drives. with no problem.

Computer number two is the one I suspect is the problem. It can
communicate with 1 and 3 and their external hard drives. However one and

three can only communicate with the internal hard drives of computer 2
and not the external USB Drives.

When I try to communicate using one or three with the external drives on

computer number two here is the message I get:
\\Steve\t is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this
network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out
if you have access permissions.
Not enough server storage is available to process this command.

All of my drives are shared and total access is given to everyone. To me

it appears that USB on Drive 2
is the problem. I reinstalled all the USB hubs on #2 and uninstalled and

reinstalled tcp/ip. This one is more than I can correct since I tried
everything that I can think of. Help!!
Everything in regard to the network has been working fine for a couple
of years?

Hi,

Did you check the COM+ services and Logical Disk manager Services? If they are set to manual and not automatic they may not be picking up the fact that there is a call being made to PC 2's USB drive remotely while it works just fine from PC 2

I can't really think of anything else if you have already re-install the USB drives etc..
