Network Adapters

I can not remove the network adapters and they show up
with a conflict as "network connection #2". The network
card does not work. Is there a way to remove the network
adapter from the registry? I tried removing in safe mode.

what kind of network adapter?

you might try removing any driver or management software (if there is any)
using add/remove programs.
