1. Do I set my Netscape 4.79 as I did for the earlier version of
Norton Anti Virus:
Server Name: 127.0.0.1
User Name: mylogon/my.isp.net

or as would be the case without Norton Antivirus:
Server Name: my.isp.net
User Name: mylogon

2. How will I know that my e-mail is protected? The status window
now has a green check in the correct place, but I don't believe
it. When I send e-mail, a little window pops indicating that it
is being checked, but nothing comparable happens when I receive
e-mail. Can I expect something similar when I receive e-mail.

2. How will I know that my e-mail is protected?

Well, find it out:

1.) Disable NAV.
2.) Download eicar testfile from
http://www.eicar.org/anti_virus_test_file.htm
3.) Send an eMail to yourself, attatch the file 'eicar.com'.
4.) Enable NAV and its eMail protection.
5.) Receive the mail.
