thats nothing, i re-downloaded NS 7.2 and it seems NOW to have a lot of the
same functions as NS 8 Beta; its definately not he same NS I downloaded
last year (i think sillydog has that version still will have to check out
his forums)

It's also full of security holes that have since been fixed in Firefox and
Mozilla.

If you want something like the old Netscape (browser, mail, news) that's
secure, use Mozilla 1.7.7.

I have a big problem with Mozilla, so I likely won't use it. Oh well, just
wasted a few minutes downloading Netscape.

Like what? It's almost exactly the same as Netscape 7.2 with security
upgrades.

It's a minor problem, and one I don't get much sympathy about. As a
hadicapped person, I like to use the mouse as little as possible. The
keyboard is much easier. With OE and Eudora, I can switch from a message
list to a particular message body by pressing TAB once or twice. It's
really easy, and you get into a rhythm. With Netscape 4.x, it worked the
same way. Now, Mozilla, and others, make you use the mouse to move from
message list to message body. Yeah, a bunch of tabs will move you around,
but it's nver predictable.

I once asked the Mozilla folks if there was some customization option to
resolve this, but I never got a response.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean, since I don't use Mozilla for mail or
news, but you may find the info you need here:

http://www.mozilla.org/docs/end-user/moz_shortcuts.html

It looks like it may be F6, but I'm not sure.

I guess this should be really easy to implement with a simple
extension... I'd give it a shot but I'm currently short on time,
maybe in the near future.

Please post your problem on the "Extensions" forum on
http://mozillazine.org, there are a lot of extension developers over
there that might just take an hour or two to put something together.

Hope it works out,

Wald
