Trying to find out if my machine has it? When I run regcleaner it shows I
have it on the software tab, but I can't find it anywhere. I've looked in
add windows components it's not there, it's not in program files.
Anyone any idea's ?
TIA..

Netscape is not part of XP, so unless you downloaded it and/or installed it
you don't have it. Goto netscape website and into the download section, it
will detect what browser your using and let you download and install
navigator if you want to.

thanks for that purplehaz..

I'd add one comment to that: My Compaq laptop came with XP, and had
Netscape 6 (!) preinstalled, so the above statement is not necessarily
true. FWIW, I've removed Netscape and installed Mozilla Firefox
instead.

Well actually the statement is technically true. Netscape isn't part of XP.
Your oem just choose to install it on your laptop. The added info that maybe
the oem pre-installed it is good, but it doesn't come with and is not part
of xp.
BTW - I use firefox now as well. Its quite nice. Have to wait to see if IE6
with xp sp2 is better or not.

What you really mean is the program is on your disk and CAN BE installed if
the user so chooses.

No, I mean NS6.0 was installed on the Compaq Presario Laptop. I
uninstalled it and downloaded and installed FireFox instead.

Hi Pete,

Go to Start > Run and type netscape
If you have it it will start and then you can look in your computer
the location of netscape.exe and use send to (Desktop) to create a
direct access to it on your desktop.

Good luck
