Netscape, FP and Hyperlinks

People using Netscape cannot click on 'words' that have
been hyperlinked to other pages on the site or to other
URL's [ie: mapquest]. They are showing up as 'blue' so
they appear to the user that they should go somewhere,
although when clicked on they go nowhere.

These words are standard text [Tahoma] within a
paragraph. They are not contained within WordArt,
AutoShapes, or other drawn objects.

Any suggestions?

Thanks ~ Karyn

Without a URL to this page on the internet, it is not possible to really
provide you with any help.

NS browsers will have problems if:

Hyperlinks contain spaces or other punctuations in the folder or file name
contained in the link.

Karyn,

A couple of items:

1. Set your page background color to White under page properties.

2. For each link in your text, delete, then re-insert and do not apply any
style setting to the link, if you want the link in ALL CAPS, type it as
such. Set the font color either in page properties or font dialog, etc. If
you want to apply styles, then use CSS to do so as either a external style
sheet or embedded style in the head of your page in HTML View, as NS
browsers have problems with inline Style tags, such as the example from your
page below, which is done whenever you use the FP style function to add
style to text.

<a href="Waiver.pdf" style="color: blue; text-decoration: underline;
text-underline: single; text-transform: uppercase">signed liability
release</a>

Karyn,

Take your tables/text out of the textbox tags and avoid using VML and
absolute positioning.

<v:textbox>
<table cellspacing="0"...

</table>
</v:textbox>

Thomas,

I have tried your suggestions and am still having
problems with Netscape hyperlinking. Same thing on the
links page. All the navigation buttons work okay just not
the typed text.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks,

Karyn
