I have just attaced my Logitech WebCam to mye computer,
and tried to access the webcam from MSN Messenger (should
be pretty similar to NetMeeting) since it both uses many
files and interfaces in common. And I worked just fine! I
was so suprised that I couldn't stop testing it right
away, so I tested all the things and features one can do
with the Logitech original software.
But one thing though: Before that I have ried to use a
Creative webcam for awhile. But everytime I tries to use
it, I have to re-install the drivers and the contol-
application. But what I do that, then the drivers becomes
installed in at least 3-4 places on my harddrive!?!?
Thats so annoying, because that register points to files
in all places, and even to places where it's not properly
installed with all driver-files. So that must be a
problem with Crativer WebCam Go drivers, and the
Windows'XP environment, because I have never experienced
so much strange (almost weird) problems as I have with
Creative software-drivers to my Creative WebCam Go webcam.
But, I think Microsoft skould take some of the blame too,
because when I install the drivers, and they become
installed in 3-4 places, and not even properly (except
for the location where I choose them to be installed) and
there are missing vital files, some places more than
others (!) then it must be something with Windows'XP too.
But this critisism of Windows'XP is told by me because of
my personal experience and opinions, so this is not
something that I know for a fackt! But it's ony my
personal guess only, because of what I have written above.
So it would be nice if someone that's using a bit older
Creative CebCam's, could write and tell if he/she are
experiencing no problems at all, or maybe the same
problems as I have, og maybe other problems. And alo what
software he/she uses too.
