netmeeting can't find directory server

Hi - running xp home with brand new computer. Cannot find
directory server. Internet and email are fine on
cable modem. There has to be some conflict somewhere, but
can't figure out how to tell where. Anybody got any ideas
on hoow to troubleshoot?
