We have received a request from one of our teams to
enable DNS round robin to support load sharing on their
apliation.

I would like to know if there would be any impact if I am
selecting "Disable NetMask ordering" in Windows 2000 DNS.

We have a fairly large AD setup with 21 domain
controllers, all configured as DNS, spread between 16 AD
sites.

Please advice.

Thanks in advance.

Only if "Netmask" ordering is currently saving you appreciable
bandwidth.

Why do you want to disable it? It works WITH round robin
just fine, normally just doing the "right thing."

It has little to do with size but is more related to architecture and
the web server (or other server) architecture.
