Hi-
I am trying to set up a Netgear PS110 printer server. My PC has an
ethernet jack and a wifi card. I use the wifi for internet and was
planning on using the ethernet jack to connect to the print server.
Since I am on DHCP, I thought I could just assign a static IP to the
server, within my IP range, and then all would be set. However they
are not. First, I try to connect via TCP/IP. When I try to assign an
IP to the server, I first check my IP address via ipconfig and I get
"192.168.0.103" (my wife's is .104. Our broadband provider told us we
had from .100 to .125 available.) so I copy in the exact subnet,
gateway and IP address info to the server, except I make the server IP
be .110. I get this error message:
"Set Fail. Please check device exist or IP is same subnet with PC"

Well, the devices - the server, computer and the printers all exist.
And the subnet's match.

When I try to access the server thru the Server Admin program, the
inital scan finds nothing. And if I change protocols, it stills finds
nothing.

Arrgh! How can I get this to work?

Thanks for you help!

Your computer cannot have two IP addresses from the same subnet. If you want
to share the printer you'll have to bridge your WiFi card and your ethernet
NIC (look in Help and Support, and search for 'bridge') - but that can be
difficult with some WiFi cards that don't set themselves in promiscuous
mode. Here's alink that explains it all:
