Netdom not joining domain,, but gui method working

Hi Folks,

During the Win XP Pro build process, netdom is run to join the
workstation to the domain, which works in most of our sites. At a few
however, no matter which DC they connect to the Netdom will not join
the domain - however if they go through the GUI process (right click
on My Computer, select properties, select the Computer Name tab etc)

Any idea what could be causing this?

Is this what you are seeing. Without an error message I am guessing.

Hi Richard,

Thanks for that, but sadly that isn't it, they are logging in locally
as an administrator - it only happens in two of our sites (we have
about 10 others that have no problems) using exactly the same build
process...

I'm wondering if its something in either the switch/router config or a
problem on the local DC that could be causing it?
