Hello Everyone

I use laptop (Wins XP pro) with Network card. To connect
to my home and my company, I have to change each time the
properties of my Network card.

Is there any other way to avoid this?

Thanks for your help.

Do you get an IP address assigned automatically or do you have to manually
configure your IP and DNS servers? Please answer for both home and work.

I believe you'd need to obtain an IP address automatically either at home or
at work. Then you could set up a manual configuration on the Internet
Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties - Alternate Configuration tab. Whenever your
laptop doesn't recieve an automatic configuration, it will use the alternate
configuration.

Please Dodo ignore my 1st reply. This is the situation:

Either at home or at work, the Gateway IP address is
192.168.1.50 (Mask 255.255.0.0). My machine's address is
192.168.1.251 (Mask 255.255.0.0). The only thing that I
must change is in the Internet Explorer, Tools>Internet
Options>Connections>Network configuration... At home I
must uncheck "Use server proxy" whareas at work I must
check it and put IP address 192.168.1.50 and Port 3128
and check "do not use proxy for local addresses".

Thanks for any help.

These programs let you store multiple network configurations and
switch between them easily:
