from the problem computer I can ping anywhere and anyone
can ping to this computer, I can run "net view
\\servername", or "net time \\servername" to any computer
but other computers cannot run same commands or access
shares on this computer, though they can access shares on
other computers.

I tried net view \\ipaddress, but no luck.

the errors I am getting are "the remote computer is not
available" (when mapping a drive to a share), or "the
network path was not found" (net view).

Though, nbtstat -a <servername> works.

I am using windows 2000 server edition with sp3, static ip
address and static configuration for dns and wins
servers. NetBIOS over tcpip is enabled.

Any thoughts?

thanks in advance.

all are win2k sp2 or sp3 computers, this is the only
computer that I know of is having this problem, there
might be more on the network though. The server has only
only 1 nic (3com 100mb/1gb card).

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

what does a IPCONFIG /All give?

Well, it really doesn't hurt to show the IP's.
Are you sure that the subnet is 255.255.0.0 and that that is the same as the
servers internal nic?
All others should just point to your servers-IP, so DNS1 and 2 can't be
different.
