I'm having problems with comm within my workgroup to/from this computer.
The event log shows: ERROR 7002 The Routing and Remote Access service
depends on the NetBIOSGroup group and no member of this group started.
The Microsoft Support site was not clear on 7002.

Can someone tell me how to NetBIOS group started? TIA

Are you using 'Routing and Remote Access' ? Is NetBIOS bound to the
connection?

You're beyond me, Dave. What do I look at to answer these questions?

Control Panel/Internet.../Local Area Connection Properties/nVIDIA net
controler , I see File and Printer Sharing and Internet TCP/IP checked.

Normally 'Routing and Remote Access' is set to manual or disabled. Control
Panel|Admin Tools|Services

Thanks. By comparing with another machine I found "Microsoft
Networking" was missing in the interface properties. I have no idea
how that got dropped because I'm not smart enough to fiddle with those
things. This machine still has some mysterious problems but this one is
fixed. Thanks for your help.

Glad to hear it. You're welcome.
