netBIOS browsing & ping attacks.............HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HELP! my antivirus (PC-cillin) keeps reporting ping
attacks and netBIOS browsing.... i have the firewall
enabled so is this a matter to worry about and how do i
stop this.. any help PLEASE!!! thanks
 
Rightclick IE (Inter Explorer) icon and click Properties. Under the Privacy and Security tabs set them to Medium, Click Apply and OK.

Turn off the reporting. Pings and NetBIOS scans are typical Internet
background radiation. Nothing to do about it except to shut the door
with a firewall.
