Hi,
I am not sure if I am posting this to the correct message board - but
hopefully someone can help ....
Everytime I sign into Microsoft Help & Support using .Net Passport I have an
option to 'tick' a box so that I can be logged in automatically in future.
However, this never works ...? Despite 'ticking' the appropriate box I am
always asked during subsequent logins for my particular login detail .... I
am sure other users are having, or have experienced, similar issues? I
suspect it is a cookie related issue ..?

Can anyone help?

Thx in advance,

Don-

Do you have something like ZoneAlarm or MS AntiSpyware? If security is set
high it's causing this. I know this because I had the same problem as you
and tracked it down to this. I also learned if I set the security low and
log into .Net I can then reset the security back to high and .Net does not
ask for password again until whatever went wrong happen again.

Frank,
Thanks for the response ..... Is Zonealarm bundled with Windows? I dont
recall ever seeing either of these apps - but to be hones I cannot be
entirely sure :(
So, if I move these URL's to the trusted security zone, are you saying this
issue should then dissappear ....

Many thanks again

You are correct - it is a cookie issue. Passport stores that info in a
cookie - so, if you are blocking cookies on your computer, then that info is
not stored for use in the future. Check your cookie settings in IE at
Tools...Internet Options...Privacy tab.
