I can no longer communicate with another computer whose operating system is me. My system is XP. I have uninstalled and deleted messenger both 6.2 and 4.7 and also netmeeting. I have reinstalled one then the other but cannot reinstall netmeeting as it says it is not compatible with my system. How do I get netmeeting to work again. Urgent, please help.

Downloading NetMeeting and trying to install it in XP won't work, as you
found it.

You have to install it as part of XP itself; try Control Panel > Add or
Remove Programs > Add/Remove Windows Components and see what you get.

Netmeeting is installed in XP by default I believe. All
you need to do is press start/run and type in "conf", then
press ok. That should launch netmeeting.

Answer:
with XP Pro /home:
start/Run/type Conf /click OK then it will start up.

NetMeeting is built in to XP as part of the operating system. So, try the
Start--Run--Conf and push the Enter key and try again.
