Has anyone else experienced the Windows Explorer's tree view having it's
spacing changed after installing .NET, so the dots in the dotted lines
run into each other.

I've posted an example:

For reference, the systems I've experienced this on are Windows 2000 Pro
SP3, and installing some version of .NET (1.0 or 1.1, redist or sdk).

Is there a key in the registry somewhere to correct this? Or is there
any other fix?

"Run into each other"? They look fine to me... Actually they look the same
on my system. The vertical spacing on tree view controls is determined by
the state imagelist that contains the checkbox/expand icons and the font.
Are you sure you didn't change the system font or something?

Or maybe it's a "feature" of the v6 common controls? I'm not sure. They've
always looked the same to me =)

Absolutely. Can't you see the dots run into each other on the dotted
line down the left, and the vertical spacing is plainly a pixel out?

This is Windows Explorer specific for me, no other treeview control has
this problem.

I've found this problem is actually Hackernet Explorer 6 screwing it up,
so I'll post a message on whatever board it has.
