Windows XP .net framework wont instal

Hi,

I get an error message "setup cannot complete the installation. Part of the file may be missing"
.net Framework is definately installed and working (Server 2003 enterprse edition).

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to resolve this issue?

Hi,

I am actually trying to install WSUS but it requires that '.net framework 1.1 SP1 or later' be installed. On checking if it's installed it is, try and reinstall (downloaded .net framework 1.1 SP1)(even tried .net framework 2) but it still gives a dialog box stating that file is missing. I have downloaded several versions of the file with no luck.
Hope that makes a little more sense and dont stress it confused me as well.
