I've heard some people say .Net Framework 1.1 is included with Windows XP
SP2, and some people who say it's not. Could someone who really knows this
for sure tell me which it is? And if .Net Framework is included: is it
included when installing using the Windows Update service and/or when
downloading the complete SP2 package, or will it only be an option on the SP2
CD (as it was on the SP1 CD)? I'm a developer and it would help a LOT if the
framework was installed with the OS!

It is NOT included in the SP2, BUT is is on the same CD (if you have a CD-
version of SP2)!

So it is NOT installed with SP2.

According to this page :
http://weblogs.asp.net/jvast/archive/2004/08/19/217227.aspx , it could
be a copy of the Technical Preview that is no longer available for
download. I didn't install the technical preview but we could confirm
this by comparing the version numbers for some files.

Anyone having the Tech Preview of .Net Frameowrk 1.1 SP1 installed?
