Windows XP Service Pack 2 ISO image on MSDN Universal subscription download has
..NET Framework 1.1 included and it displays as ".NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack
1".
There are no release notes (only EULA.TXT), and Microsoft download site still
shows Technical Preview as the most recent. There's also no mention of any kind
in MSDN Universal download notes.
After installation many assemblies have newer build number (1.1.4322.2032), and
trying to install Technical Preview results in the "... all installed components
are already newer ..." type of message.
Is it possible that Microsoft has quietly released Service Pack 1 for .NET
Framework 1.1?
Oh, and when you create slipstreamed version of the XP Install CD you get new
item in the autorun menu (under "perform additional tasks" there is now "Install
..NET Framework").
