I'm running WXP Pro Version 2002 Svc Pack 2. I just attempted to install
SyncToy V1.4, but a window popped up advising me "This setup requires the
..NET Framework version 2.0.50727." It offered me a link, but the link was
broken and I was redirected to a web page with multiple choices, none of
which I understand. I am not a developer; I simply want to install the basic
requirements that will permit me to run SyncToy. If anyone can point me to
the appropriate .NET download, I would appreciate it. Thanks for your help.

Go to Windows Update (on Internet Explorer, click Tools/WindowsUpdate).
Now instead of choosing Express, click Custom. This should bring up all the
optional MS Windows items for you including .NET Framework 2. Note that you
don't need to download and install .NET 1.1, 3, or 3.5. If you just need 2,
then just check and download/install 2. Note that you'll most likely have
to revisit the site after it's installed to get several Critical Updates for
it.

Thanks very much for all the prompt and very helpful feedback. It worked
great and SyncToy is up and running. Thanks again.
