Please state your full Windows version (e.g., WinXP SP3).
I have an accounting program that must use .NET Framework 2.0. The
program
as worked for several years on my XP Pro machine. Now it will not
load.
What program & version is it?
Event viewer [says?] it is a .NET Framework 2.0 Error.
Post the complete error message.
However I cannot install the dotnetfx.exe says it is the wrong
verson.
The wrong version of what? Post the complete error message.
Is .NET Framework 2.0 SP1 installed?
The above notwithstanding...
1. Important: Write down what .NET Framework versions are already
installed! See
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/318785
2. Now try Resolutions Method 1 in
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923100
(ignore the title); If no joy, try Method 2.
3. If still no joy, see this related post by my colleague MowGreen
(ignore
any references to updating .NET Framework):
