Net connection?

Howdy all, I have a problem - whenever I try to open a folder my system
tries to open a net connection. Unless it's gotten past Norton, I don't
think it's a virus or a trojan, but something must be causing it... any
ideas on what I should do?

nevermind, found out what it was - it was a thing called NewDotNet or
something... supposingly adds support for new kinds of websites. Don't
know if it's true, but it was trying to log onto the net without my
permission, and that's a big no no.

Deleted it, and everything seems fine now... anyone else had experience
with this program?
