Hi

is it right, that when I make an installer via CeAppMgr for .NET CF2 SP1
Applications that the users NEEDS ActiveSync 4.1 ?

The Quote from : http://blogs.msdn.com/netcfteam/
"Installer should check for ActiveSync version and disable deployment if
prior to AS 4.0 build 4343."

That is incorrect; there are no changes in AS version required for SP1. AS
4.0 or above is required for RTM, same version is required for SP1.

Thanks for the link

but thats really nasty, because AS4 has some problems and I can't
convience my USer to update which would mean that they can't use Word
anymore on their older WinCE Devices....

NETCF CAB's are redistributable so you can include them into your
application installer and use any way you like to deploy them.

Of course without AS 4 you generally can't support WM 5.0 devices, so it's
up to you to choose between legacy AS/legacy devices only or latest AS and
all devices.

I'm also not sure what do you mean by "they can't use Word". If that's
Pocket Word, it has no dependency on NETCF.
