..NET 3.5 SP1 is being clean installed on a Windows Server 2003 Std Terminal
Server (application mode).
This is done by first going to Add/Remove Programs --> Add New Program -->
browse to .exe.
The install fails with the following message ..........
"An error occurred during setup. Installed files have been removed from
your computer. For known issues and troubleshooting information, see the
online Readme. For error information, see Error Log."
The error log has the following:
[03/22/10,16:55:47] WIC Installer: [2] Error code 1603 for this component
means "Fatal error during installation.
"
[03/22/10,16:55:48] WIC Installer: [2] Setup Failed on component WIC
Installer
[03/22/10,16:55:53] WapUI: [2] DepCheck indicates WIC Installer is not
installed.
After, I downloaded WIC from microsoft.com and performed install in the same
manner, however, the following error appeared during the install ..........
"Setup could not verify the integrity of the file Update.inf. Make sure the
Cryptographics service is running on this computer."
I then went to the Services MMC - the service was set to Automatic and it
was running.
Please help.
