Can anyone tell me how to solve this problem?

I have a row of names and a corresponding row of X's (if an X is
present this will indicate that the person is booked on a particular
course). How do I get Excel to show me a list of the names of people
booked on the courses (represented by the "X")?

I've tried a number of different formulas but I just keeping getting
the entire list of names. This is something that needs to update
instantly as changes are made so I don't think Pivot Table Reports will
work.

The other fun part is that I need the answer to show one name per cell
(preferably) or listed one per line within a cell (with hard returns).

Any help you can give me would be greatly welcome.

Please email me you answer to (e-mail address removed).

Thanks!

Won't a data>filter>autofilter work for you?

No, I'm not trying to sort the columns. I'm trying to get a summary of
the people who are taking each course appear on another worksheet.

e.g. Course ABC

John Smith
Jane Doe
George Jones

These people may be signed up for more than one course but I need to be
able to pull the participants for each course and have a summary appear
on a worksheet for that course.
