I was able to get 7 Ultra working. The install didn't not fully complete (no
desktop icons) but I finally got it to go to 99% to the end and was able to
burn a DVD while playing music, Outlook was open, and I was browsing the web
without having to slow the burn rate down. There were two options that I did
not select to install...inCD and something else....I thought it was
BurnRights but there is a control panel icon in the x86 portion of control
panel.

You were correct not to install InCD.

Packet writing software has not had a shining history on Vista to this
point.

Oh I don't have any need for packet writing, I was just passing on the
frequent comments on the issue.

Get a DVD-RAM drive, Vista has built-in support for UDF burning.
