I posted eariler about not being to uninstall Nero 9. It was
suggested that I just delete the directories and remove the entries
from the registry.

Well, I am doing that now. And I'l like to comment, I've never seen
an application with so much shitty crap in the resistry before.......

under Tools & Utilities: Nero 9 CleanTool leads to:
http://www.nero.com/eng/tools-utilities.html#tab4
with info and for download:
ftp://ftp6.nero.com/tools/General-CleanTool.zip
For myself I find that if I do a custom install and deselect about fifteen
other "features" and leave just the CD/DVD Burning ROM I get a nice
installation.
Annoying to have paid for so much intrusive clutter and bloat though! I also
use CDBurnerXP from:
http://cdburnerxp.se/
which does it for free and (in spite of its silly name) works with Windows
2000/XP/2003 Server/Vista/Windows 7. However I prefer my minimal Nero 9
installation, and just keep CDBurnerXP installed as a standby.

Everything, for the most part, worked fine. Vision was not working
properly for some reason. The clean tool did nothing for me, and when
I went through the registry I found traces of Nero 7 & Nero 8.....so,
I'll try a new install today and see what happens.

Great, now that Nero 9 is totally uninstalled. When I run the
installer and select Nero 9 off the install box, it brins up the
'Maintenace' window to select the install components, but it will not
allow me to choose the install directory......

Help anyone?
