What do you have to do to get Nero InCd to work with
Windows XP? I always get an error message when I try to
format a CD-RW. The format will start, but will stop
partway through and display the message. The burner is an
HP dvd300i.

I tried the Nero help site already. I have the latest
firmware for the burner and the latest InCd and have
unchecked "Enable CD Recording on this drive" on
the "Recording" sheet of the drive properties and it still
doesn't format even after I have erased the disk with Nero
Burning ROM.

Joe i gave up on Nero InCD ages ago. Every single update caused problems
with XP. They say Nero is the 'best' cd burning software. I tend to
disagree. Personally i prefer Roxio Easy CD. I've upgraded a number of times
without any problems. To be honest the last time i update Incd was about 12
months ago. I had problems with it and emailed nero support. I think i'm
still waiting for the reply!

Both Roxio (Since 6.x came out) and Nero (since 5.5x and above came out)
work great with XP, and they even work together (given you choose one, the
other, or neither for the ability to write to your re-writables on the fly -
given XP comes with this ability.)

I recommend using neither INCD or Roxio's (well, technically as the built in
functionality is Roxio's code..)
