Nero Image Drive - won't load under Vista

I use Nero 7 for my audio and video editing but was a bit ticked off to find
that 'Image drive' - a virtual drive allowing read back of ISO or NRG drive
images, is not supported under Vista. Even the new version 8 does not
support Vista with image drive. Nero Tech support was unable to say whether
development was ongoing for Vista support. (Other than image drive, all
tools in Nero7 Ultra do function under Vista).

Without Image Drive, the only way to retrieve a file from the disc image is
to burn the file to a CD/DVD and then read back the disc. This is not an
option for me at present since my DVD burner is having power calibration
issues yet to be resolved.

I googled for '.iso files vista' and found 'virtual clone drive'
www.elby.ch/fun/software/index.html
While this does not explicitly state that it supports Vista, It does run on
my Vista Home Basic (32bit) machine. It is a free program to boot. (scanned
and found free of virus/malware)

Daemon Tools is the best image drive, and it's free.

I'd agree with Synapse Syndrome.
Get Daemon tolls and your problem is solved.

Thank you all who responded with suggestions. I may evaluate them a bit
later, but for now, the virtual clone drive link which I previously posted,
is doing what I need right now.
