Nero does not recognise my CD burner

I'm running XP Proferssional on my desktop. I am able to burn CD's using the O/S, but Nero or PrimoCD plus does not recognise the CD-RW as a burner. It is recognised as a CD-ROm instead. I tried the options listed under MS KB, no luck. The drive is a Norcent 48x12x48 model RW481

Why not try the Nero support page, you can send them an email to see if they
have support for your drive although it is not listed in their list of
supported products. It is listed in Roxios site.

I'm having the same problem with my HP burner and it's on the compatable list. Good advice about checking with Nero. Will post if I find something that works.
